Michael has over 30 years in the construction industry in the UK and New Zealand. He started as a carpenter and has continued as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager and Commercial Manager. Owning his own business in manufacturing and later Quantity Surveying and Project/Commercial Management. Micheal has been involved with warranties and defects, earthquake repairs, new builds, renovations, commercial, residential, mass residential housing developments, hospitality, civil and infrastructure. Michael has great leadership skills including managing a team through various projects from concept to completion. Michael gains an excellent understanding of each project scope and the roles and responsibilities of the teams involved. He acknowledges the strengths and weaknesses of others and acts accordingly. He keeps the projects organised, with regular updates, identifying risks and challenges in advance ensuring a more effective project outcome.
